XnView Software

Hi,

i am newbie here, i try to search for jpeg topic but get no result so i create this report.

i installed XnView MPVersion 0.86 64bits (Apr 25 2017) on Windows 10 64bit Version 1703 Build 15063.540

i found xnview can't open .jpeg files either with file explorer nor everything file search. The file can be open after changing the extension to .jpg though.

Maybe this is a bug and i report it here. Thanks.

I found xnview is rather slower if the image is opened from file explorer but very fast when opened from its built-in browser. Other than this nothing better than Xnview. Thanks

i can't reproduce, in browser of XnView, when you click on the .jpeg, no preview?

It sounds to me like the .jpeg file extension is not associated with XnView.

oh you means by clicking from windows explorer?

You are right!

Actually i already associate all images file to XnView MP. I am sure because the .jpeg file icon is showed with XnView icon.

But, i try to re-set jpeg "open with" to XnView as your suggestion and now the .jpeg is displayed perfectly.

Well, there are two extensions for jpeg files, you know: .jpg and .jpeg - they can come with either one. I set both of them to XnView.
