Ratings and color labels unreliable from Compare view

Hi, in MP 0.86 and 0.87, 64-bit, Windows 8.1, I've noticed that assigning Color Labels and/or Ratings is not working reliably when in the Compare view with 2 images (both are RAW ORFs).
Neither the keyboard shortcuts nor right-clicking save the rating most of the time. At least the star/number ratings do save SOMETIMES but I don't believe I've seen the color label save at all.
It works in other views.
