0.88: "Don't export" option ignored when "Update files from catalog"

The option "Don't export" under the Properties of individual categories is ignored when performing View > Update files from catalog.
Effect: unwanted categories are exported to XMP and IPTC metadata
To reproduce:
1.Make sure Settings > Metadata > IPTC & XMP > Export DB Category to XMP Subject and IPTC Keyword is checked.
2.Go to Categories Pane, right-click one of the categories, click Edit…, and make sure the option "Don't export" is checked.
3.Assign that category to any files.
4.Select those files and perform View > Update files from catalog.
This bug has been there since at least 0.86, IIRC.
