If I use Edit>Set Selection Size>Save Selection then crop the picture... it crops fine.

If I open another picture and try to use Restore Selection, the selection is not restored.

I recently started using MP instead of Classic so maybe I'm doing something wrong.

how do you open the other picture? Next file?

Sorry, I should have been more clear.

I do a CTRL+SHIFT+V to paste a 1st screengrab into MP.
I select a region.
I do an Edit>Set Selection Size>Save Selection.
I crop 1st screengrab to the selected size.

I do a CTRL+SHIFT+V to paste a 2nd screengrab into MP. (2nd screengrab is same size as 1st screengrab).
I do an Edit>Set Selection Size>Restore Selection.
No selection is restored.

I used this function a lot in Classic to crop multiple screengrabs to the same size.

Thanks to your detailed description I can reproduce the problem.

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 0.89. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.
