Where are the JPEG Settings?

When I have a new image such as a screengrab, and I want to save it as a JPG... the file dialog pops up but I can't see anywhere to adjust the JPEG settings when saving? Such as compression, etc.

Ahh... OK I found the 'Format Settings' under File>Format Settings>Write tab, etc. This is a hassle to have to fish down into another menu when simply wanting to adjust the JPG settings quickly in the File Save As Dialog.

Is there no way to get the JPEG settings to appear in the File Save As Dialog as in Classic?

Thanks!

You use XnView MP the first time?

Go to the "file" menue and use "export".
Then you can choose your favorite JPEG settings (compression, optimizations, EXIF-Data, etc.).

Yes, I recently started using MP over Classic.

And as you can see from the attached image... Classic conveniently has the 'Options' button on the Save File As dialog... no menu fishing necessary to efficiently change settings while saving, thus less hassle.

Thanks anyway.

It's a known issue with 'MP that arises, I believe, from a limitation in the Qt framework used, which rather bizarrely can't currently be overcome... :(

Quite frustrating due to the save settings for all file formats being well hidden, but the Export dialog does provide a possible workaround.

Thanks for the info. Sad that the easier functionality is no longer possible.

Oh well. Thanks!
