N/P buttons not greyed for a single pic…

Hello !- I think that the title is self-explanatory…
• Here, under Win 98 SE - XnView 1.8.3, when I've a single image-file in a dir. (nothing else) the Next / Previous buttons are both not greyed, I think they might be… Minor
?• The Option : View >> "Loop on the file-list" doesn't change anything, either enabled or not…
