Hi,

how can I view (small)pictures in full screen mode with high quality rendering(with antialiasing filtering applied to the mosaic effect of large pixels) ? I have found this option("High Quality") in the slideshow options, but not for the fullscreen view mode. For large pictures I hardly distiguish the pixels, but for small pictures it's really a problem. With the high quality option in the slideshow mode, the image becomes smooth and the unpleasant mosaic effect disappears.

Is there an option I missed ? or will it be implemented ?

Look under "view" (just above "slideshow") in the options, there's a high quality/zoom setting there. Seems to work for me.

Ok, I had already set these options. So I tried a bit more in different ways, and I found out that sometimes it works, but NOT ALWAYS.

Three notes:
1) I have this setting in General/Switching modes:


(Use double click...)
Browser <> Viewer

(...)

(Use ENTER...)
Browser <> Fullscreen | Viewer <> FullScreen


2) in View I have set to true:

(High zoom quality...)
Reduce
Enlarge
Fit to Windows/Desktop

3) I have XnView version 1.80.3


Now:
- if I am in "Browser" mode, if I double-click a thumbnail, I pass to "Viewer" mode (the window), and I get the antialiasing; then, if I hit ENTER I pass to "Fullscreen" mode, and I get the antialiasing. So, in this way it's alright.
- if I am in "Browser" mode, and if I hit Enter with a thumbnail selected, I pass to "Fullscreen" mode, but I get NO antialiasing ! perhaps it's a not correct behaviour ?

Hmm.. it seems to be a flaw in the preview function. I see that the "use high quality" option under browser->preview only has an effect when you're reducing the image. When you enlarge it, there is no enhancement. I believe that the fullscreen view from within the browser is the same as preview, but fullscreen.
