hello,
i just want to update my xnview but before I should uninstall the current version. But there ist no "uninstall.exe", no button "uninstall xnview" in START-menue and there also is no item "xnview" within "Software" in my system control.
How can I uninstall xnview so the installation of the new version will perform without any drouble?
thanks a lot

You have certainly download the zip package of XnView, so no installation.
You can install the newer version.

Pierre has answered, already, some more details:

On the XnView Download page XnView is available in two types of packages:
1 - the setup version with installation routine
2 - ZIP archive.

- Deinstallation of Setup version
If you have used the setup version for installation, you can use "Start > Settings > Software" or "Start > Programs > XnView > Uninstall XnView" for deinstallation.

- Deinstallation for ZIP archive
If you have used the ZIP archive, you just unpacked the files and placed them in a folder. In this case, no deinstallation is needed. Just deleting the folder will completely remove XnView and it's settings. If you want to keep your settings for the next version, make sure you keep the files "bookmark.ini" and "xnview.ini".

Thank you both very much!
Now I begin to remember - it really is possible that I used the zip-method on this computer contrary to the other ones...months ago and without an idea about the consequences

Ok, the problem is solved and again I´ve learned more about your really useful software!
