Graphics Card Issues - Blank Screen

I only recently started using XnViewMP. I noticed a few strange screen anomalies but hadn't connected it to XnView until my screen went blank and reported no signal from my graphics card. When I reboot everything is fine. Then when I start to catalog in XnView I get blue and red hatch patterns randomly appear on my screen and then again "no signal" on my monitor. Reboot and I'm fine. I'm currently using all the same programs I was using at the times this error occurred with the exception of XnViewMP.
