Hey there,

in some of my jpg-files the IPTC field "Date created" is showing an incorrect date.
When selecting the files in XnView and choosing Edit > Metadata > edit IPTC data several tabs appear. I select the date/time tab and choose EXIF photo taken. When hitting the "write in all" button, all the existing data in the other tabs like caption and keywords will also be overwritten with the data embedded in the first file.
How can I change the date field only without overwriting the other IPTC fileds? Thanks a lot in advance.

you need to 'clear all', change the date and 'write all'

Pierre, how do I do the same thing, but with captions? I want to change multiple captions at once to update them (i.e. add words to them), but do NOT want any of the keywords or other IPTC data to change in any of the images, including the first one selected (so if I Clear all Fields, it wipes out all IPTC data from that first one, including all the keywords I want to keep).
