EXIF information change on scanned pictures

Hello together,
I've scanned a lot of pictures (app. 2000) from the past (1970-1990).
As stored information in these pictures are now only the information of the scanning operation. Also the scan date for e.g.
I would like now to change the picture informations of these scanned pictures to my purposes.
Especially the date informations like date of creation, digitized date, change date, etc.
I'm using XnView MP
I've no clue how to do it.
Can anybody give me please a detailed information how this works with XnView MP?
