Loading into a folder with images results in thumbnails being loaded initially until the program finishes loading the last image (jpg, png etc.). Then it immediately blanks the entire preview pane resulting in what appears to be a completely empty folder. No files, no thumbnails, nothing. The actual contents of the folder remains unaffected. Reproducible by loading into any folder.

Video files are unaffected.

I figured it out. Turns out I had the filter for video files on. My bad.

But seriously, this raises another issue that's been bugging me since forever. Why is the UI so tiny? All the icons need to be tripled in size and additional text introduced to reflect e.g. what filter is currently being applied. Simple usability fixes please.
