How can I "import" a directory and all the sub-directories at the same time?

I have /photos/ as the base directory, so I want all the sub-directories in, I have between 80 and 100 sub-directories.
How do I "import" the new photos, usually on a weekly basis?

First, choose your settings in "Tools, Settings, (Browser) Metadata" .
Then,
- Select the parent directory in the tree in "folders" panel.
- Select the root directory you want to import in the main area (browser) (= photos)
- Click "Update catalog from files" in "View" menu ...

Sometimes I use : "Tools, Settings, (Browser) Catalog , "Add folder" ...

I dont know which method is best ... (Pierre ?)

Sometimes, I must create at least one category before beginning import.
