Viewing 3DSMax images

3DSMax View, is this supposed to work? It's mentioned in the new feature list of XnView 1.68 but i cannot find it in XnView?

it is the preview only ..(the image stored in front of the file)

yeah, sure! but even that isn't shown... there is also no file extension setting?

In this newsgroup, please do not place sample images in posts to avoid unnecessary traffic and download time (i.e. do not use img=). Instead, place the URL to the approproate image. Or send image via mail.

Thanks for the link to the sample files.

Just to make sure: Do you have the PlugIn "Xcompound.dll" needed for 3DSMax installed? You can find out about installed XnView plugins by using menu "Info->PlugIns Information" in XnView.
If this plugin isn't listed, the plugin is not installed (properly). You can download the plugins on the normal download page on XnView Download page. All XnView plugins have to be located in <XnView install dir>\PlugIns

So why don't you expand the support to other compound files like MS (word, excel..).. etc and not just the preview image .. but any image inside it.. (best one for it is edoc.exe .. very powerful.. with it i noticed the PictureIT and Image Composer files..
