Subject: 0.92: Mac, Preferences and Quit menus unavailable

XnView: MP 0.92 - 64-bit
OS: Mac, High Sierra 10.13.6

Effect: XnView menu items (Quit and Preferences) are greyed out

After running the program for a few minutes (unsure how long) these options will become greyed out. Preferences can still be accessed from the gear icon in the toolbar, but not from the menu. The "Quit" option is also greyed out. Clicking the "x" in the browse tab will close the program. Also Command + Q will also still work.

To reproduce:
1. Use the program normally.
2. After a while the menu options will become unavailable


Expected behaviour: Menu options should work

is it after switching browser/edit mode?

I'm having this same issue, and no, it's not after browse/edit. I only use the program for browsing on a network, the primary reason I use it instead of Bridge CC (which is horribly unstable when trying to browse shared folders on a network). This issue is fairly new.

when these entries disappear?

I see it - completely reproducible for me:

1. Start XnViewMP.
2. Click "XnView" Apple toolbar to verify "Preferences.." and "Quit XnView" are available.
3. Click XnView Settings toolbar Gear icon for Settings pop-up window.
4. Click "XnView" Apple toolbar and both "Preferences.." and "Quit XnView" are no longer available.

I don't need to make any Settings changes nor close the pop-up window, just open it
and the Apple "Preferences.." and "Quit XnView" items no longer work.
