Short gif animations changes too fast

Hello, I have a question about gif playing in slideshow. Even when picture change time set more than gif length, it ends after first playback, so its impossible to recognize ones with small length at all. Is there any way to set numbers of repeats at least or I need to make every gif longer to be able to watch it in slideshow?
Probably it's more easily to make a kind of macro, but I thought this is very common problem and there is something in options maybe to solve it.
