"Deskew" greyed out

There's the new feature "Deskew" to deskew scans. Users might wonder why the menu item is greyed out all the time. Reason is that "Deskew" works on greyscale and b&w images, only. And you have to select an area which contains skewed horizontal lines.
I suggest to have the menu item "Deskew" enabled all the time. If the image is not a greyscale image a message box should appear.
The same applies if the image is greyscale, but no selection was made. In this case, also a message box should appear, telling that for deskewing a selection around an area containing skewed horizontal lines.
This would help people a lot and prevent us from many questions. (The same applies for "Red Eye Correction", and there were many questions).
