How to organize images

XVmp works well on a directory by directory, but how do I make it work across directories and sub-directories?

Here's a layout (most of it in anyway) of my directory structures for my images (around 50,000 images)

Image

For example:
  • I need to search for all the dog images that haven't been marked yet
  • I need to search for all the images from the arctic (they are spread over 25 sub-directories within 1 directory)
Do I need to reorganize? I'd rather not.

Or how do I search across directories?

Thanks

If i understand you have organize your photos by folders, image files have no metadata?

No,

The images (cr2 and raf) are organized in directories but they have their exif and metadata almost all done in xmp files.

Now I want to be able to see all the images that have the tag "dogs" and that not have any rating across all the directories.

Merci

if the files are in the catalog, you can use search dialog
