Hello,

Xnview Classic 2.47 installation mini (french) on w10, svg is listed in availables formats.
When I open a folder full of svg files, all have IE icon.
Dble-clic open it in Edge.
Diaporama fails with a "unknow format" error.

What can I do to activate svg support ?

only XnView MP support SVG natively, for XnView Classic you need to install third party plugin (not free)

No need for shareware plugins
Just download rsvg-convert and extract rsvg-convert.exe in to the Plugins directory

So, we have a web page with 500 'supported' formats

who claimed read support for svg linked from the xnview classic description page,

And a in-app "Informations..." panel who say the same : "svg read yes",

And a Mr xnview (the boss?) who say : NO, but you can pay. (with no clue on what plugin buy where !)

Plus the helping anon aboy who give a way to a insecure page, to download a free plugin from a sourceforge account

Which plugins do you have?

According to the panel "Informations sur les modules"/"Plugins" : none.

My
C:\Program Files (x86)\XnView\PlugIns
contains only "Slide.exe"

I believe too in a false-positive.
But obviously, the autor of a real malware will probably not announce it as it is

In the other hand, SourceForge claiming that he is knowingly distributing malware "at your own risk" is a startospheric joke.
I cant believe how they can drive their biz that way. And can't believe a (serious) dev can put his work in their hand (to view it labeled malware!!!).

This is from 2.47 mini,
but I'm ready to install 2.48 extended.
Do you prefer I keep 2.47 to diagnose, or update to see if it's relevant in 2.48 ?

by default there is no SVG support so you should have CADimage.dll or another plugin
