deselecting tagged files

I move tagged images between folders frequently. Every time I want to tag new files for moving or copying, I have to 'untag' all images previously tagged in a folder. This is difficult and time consuming. There is a 'deselect all' button, but could there also be an 'untag all' button? This would be a great help.

I have had no reply to my post about 'untagging' files. The easiest way to select files for moving between folders is to tag them and then click 'select tagged files', and then move or copy them. But before I do this I have to un-tag all files that were previously tagged. Could you add an 'untag all' button?

"Untag All" will delete all tags in all known folders.
If you want to delete all tags only in current folder, you must select all photos (Ctrl A) and use "Untag current".
Yes, clicking "View, Tag, Untag" in menus is time consuming.
You can add buttons in your toolbar :
- Settings, interface, Toolbar ...
Choose the function that you need : "Untag current " and move it to the right with the arrow (black triangle) .
You can change buttons order by moving them to the top or bottom of the list.
You'll get the new button in the right place
