Cannot tag images in viewer

When tagging files in viewer mode (Ctrl+T), the files are NOT tagged upon returning to browser mode. I used this behaviour all the time in XnView Classic all the time to tag/untag files that I wanted to work with later (drag to Photoshop, another folder or to Recycle Bin). In MP, this simply fails to work. I wouldn't bother and would return to Classic, but XnView Classic fails to view Olympus ORF files from my Olympus OM-D10 Mark II camera.

How do you reproduce it?
You start XnView MP, open a picture file, CTRL+T, if you returns to browser, the file is tagged...

I ran into this problem myself. Under win10, XnView MP works as expected (actually, the command says "tag current", but the command works as "toggle tag" - and I like it better as it is).

But under Linux, the tagging in viewer mode doesn't work. But I can untag a picture with this, if I have tagged it before at browser view. But after untagging, I still can't turn the tag on in viewer mode. (BTW a tag box or some other indication what is the tag status of the currently viewed image in viewer mode would be nice).

I'm running Manjaro Linux, XnViewMP Version 0.96.2 64bits, and I've installed XnViewMP from the Manjaro repositories. Or actually I think from Arch Linux repositories.
