RAW-files (.CR3) from new Canon 90D not working

the files are correct shown in the miniature-view, but it is neither possible to open them nor to open them in full-frame view (only black window opens).
is there an issue with the RAW-files .CR3 of the new Canon 90D?
I use the latest version of XnView 2.49.1

yes, but the file is 40 MB (WeTransfer?)

Pierre has previously suggested sending large files by
WeTransfer, that would be to the email address on the XnView home page, 'Contact' email address...

Btw. it the same problem with the cr3 files of Canon Powershot G5X Mark II. Hope we get a soltion asap. Many thx.

Hello Pierre,
I have the same issue with Canon EOS M50 CR3 files. I can see the thumbnails in the XnView browser but when I double-clic on a thumbnail, I only get a black image.
I use the latest version of XnView (2.49.2).
The CR3 files are available for download from the DPReview site in the Sample gallery of the EOS M50, if you want to test them.

yes known issue, there is a problem if you use 'full size' for CR3

I have the opposite : image full-size is good, but the thumbnail CR3 is black ...

Hum, are you use? options>Preview>Camera RAW?

Parametres/Aperçu/Camera RAW/miniature intégrée ou Pleine resolution.
