Error initializecriticalsectionex in Windows XP

Hello, I've just upgraded to XnView 2.49.2. In Windows XP (yes, I have a very old notebook with Windows XP

), when I start XnView, I get this error:
The procedure entry point InitializecriticalSectionEx could not be located in the dynamic link libray KERNEL32.dll
XnView starts anyway.
Searching on Google, it seems related to the problem discussed for example in this topic:
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/527 ... rnel32-dll

This earlier forum
post might help, although I am not certain of the status of XnView with respect to XnView Classic, but I think support has been dropped for Windows MP...

Thank you. I actually thought this error was new, since in the previous versions I never encountered it.

I think the libwebp.dll plug-in may have been recently added to the standard download, or possibly you downloaded a different download option with more plug-ins... It isn't a topic I have been following closely.

I've always installed the "Standard" version. The solution of removing libwebp.dll from the Plugins sub-directory of XnView installation works. Thanks again.
