XnView Software

Hello to the forum.
I have just started with XnView Classic and have looked and searched the Wiki article without success for "Set categories".
I wish to use categories but can only get an empty box with options to "apply" or "Cancel" ... I cannot find a way to "Set" them despite using the VIEW/SETCATEGORIES toolbar option.
I am using one jpeg selected, choosing "selected files" but just get the same empty box without a way to add my own category or choose from an existing one (none to choose from).
Is there a toolbar that has categories, rating, colour label etc ? Or is it only keypad ?

I don't use categories myself, but if you are new to XnView software you might consider looking at XnView MP, the newer software under more active development and the future of XnView... It has enhanced image management capabilities, Unicode support and an attractive new interface...

Will try ...... but would really like to use either version as an organizational tool rather than image editing tool ..... and so categories, ratings, colours etc are my principal interest. Will see if anyone else comes up with a method for categories ..
