Exporting Photos with Metadata

Can XnView export photo with the Metadata entered by users in XnView embeded?
Before expending a large amount of energy entering meta data for my files, I want to be be sure that I can get the metadata back out if I choose to switch Image Management software. the metadata I'm concerned about are typical Tags, and Geo-Tag details.
