I started a job with some thousand files, and in the beginning the calculation of end-time seem to be OK.
After 30 min I got strange results: "rest time 0 sec / rest job 0%; ETA in the past" - see image
10 min later the calculation was correct again ..

do you use multiple core' option?

I see the problem - the "multi-core" option does not care about the toggle box; it uses always the settings from the slider, although the toggle is switched off.
Bug or feature?

So the correct answer is:
Yes, the software used "multiple core" although I thought that it is not activated.

But you can't change the slider is toggle is off

Right. But it seems that it uses always the value from the slider, also when it is switched off.
And when "greyed out" I understand it says "use only 1 core, no matter what position the slider has". But maybe I misinterpret something.

Ok, in the log we can see that each 'load' is followed by a 'save' so multi core is not used to process files, but if you use a resize action, it can use more than 1 core.

I saw a correlation between slider settings and CPU-load, but if it's OK I'm happy
