0.96.4 high cpu-load on mac OS 10.13.6

There ist nothing to do, XnView MP 0.96.4 is running in background, showing a folder with pics in browser-mode. After a while the cpu-load is running over 90%. I can quit XnView in a normal way. I didn't have that in previous versions.
