XnView Software

XnView MP crashes when I Update files from catalog (using View -> Update files from catalog).

However, if I first select a PNG file in /home/[username]/Pictures and update that via View -> Update files from catalog, I can thereafter update all other files as well without XnView crashing.

I would love see this annoying bug fixed; XnView MP is an awesome application!
Let me know if I can help with a crash report or suchlike.

My system specs: Kubuntu 20.04 with X on proprietary NVidia driver (kernel 5.6.0). Intel Core i7-3930K + 32GB RAM. XnView MP 0.96.4 64bits AppImage.

which format do you update?

HDR files.

This problem persists in XnView MP 0.97.1 (x64) under Kubuntu 20.10 using NVidia proprietary driver.

could you send me the sample file?
