Sorting images within categories

Hi,
I am a fairly new user of XnView, I have searched for this topic, but no luck. I have a batch of images which are sorted into 2 categories. Each category also has images with different ratings or color tags. Is there a way to view a category where the images would then be sorted by the rating tag? I always have to sort them manually according to how they are rated, but every time I toggle between the categories, the images get resorted and I am back to where I started. Very frustrating and time-consuming. Is this just a setting I am missing?
