Batch rename - no Insert button

Hello,
I need to rename my photo and video for recent years.
I have downloaded the last 0.96.5 both zip-files 32 and 64 bits.
However, when I open Tools -> Batch rename window, there is no Insert button. So, I cannot create a template. <Date taken> does not work.
Could you help me how to use Rename function, please?
Best regards,
Oleksandr

Date Taken will only work if that data is in the picture. I say that because it can get stripped out
That being said, highlight all the pics you want to rename then clear the tempate and add "Date Taken" from the menus
The bottom window should show the results preview
Play with this a bit ... it is powerful

Thanks Rick.
I did not know that this black triangle is a new Insert button.
So, this template works well for me:
{Modified Date [Y.m.d H.m]}
However this template works for JPG files but not for HEIC photos
{EXIF:Date Taken [Y-m-d_H-M-S]}
While Windows properties window shows Date taken. Please look at attachments.

Ok ... I don't know and can't test it here. Time for someone with more knowledge to step in

It seems XnView cannot work with a new format of iOS photos (HEIC).

Let the developer or one of the other experts that are familiar with IOS help you with this. I am on windows.
If you do not hear from anyone, post this as a bug in the bug forum but give it a couple of days as they are good at helping with things like this

Apparently, iPhone video files are not visible for XnView as well
