0.97.1 File saved as HEIC/HEIF result 0 bytes

XnView: MP 0.97.1 64bits
OS: Windows 10 64bit build 19042.572
Convert image to HEIC/HEIF look succes (no errors or messages), but result in heic file is 0 bytes.
Effect: Saved file in HEIC/HEIF is 0 bytes.
To reproduce:
1. Open any PNG or JPG image (I've tested only them).
2. File - Save as (Ctrl + Shift + S).
3. Select HEIC - HEIF, save the image.
4. Status bar shows 0 bytes. Windows Explorer shows 0 bytes.

Actual behaviour (bug): Saved file in HEIC/HEIF is 0 bytes
Expected behaviour: Saved file in HEIC/HEIF is greater than 0 bytes and contains image.

i have no problem to save HEIC format, do you have the heic.dll (2020) in plugin folder?

No, heic.dll is missing, but there is heif.dll:

Before I discovered the described problem, I updated XnView MP from 0.97.0 to 0.97.1 using installer from site.

Yes, reading is ok.

ok, currently heif.dll is only used for loading. The HEIC store component is used to save.

So how can I save heic files with xnview? What is store component and how do I install it?

you need to install HEIF plugin from Windows store

I do have it. Unfortunately for some reason saving doesn't work system wide, in Paint neither.
EDIT: ok I found out that it is also needed to install HEVC, which isn't free. Maybe it would be worthwhile to implement HEIC saving in XnView natively?
