XnView Software

Hello there,

I have been using XNView for a while no but never bothered to use keywords.
As I have now started editing my photos with Capture One I would like to stick with XNView for sorting/rating/tagging and for these metadata to show up in Capture One also.

Therefore I wanted XNView to create XMP sidecar files.
However, whenever I enter keywords (using CTRL-I -> enter keywords -> hit "Write") I do only get a file that is called RAF****_original but no RAF****.xmp as I would expect.

If I go the other way around and create a xmp-file in Capture One, XNView does read it and shows the keywords. However, if I try to add an additional keyword XNView again only creates a file called RAF****_original and does not update the initial xmp-file.

I have now tried all possible combination of settings but cannot seem to figure out how this works.
What is this RAF****_original file

... to create XMP companion files with all fields populated with "Edit IPTC/XMP" window ?

The new XMP dialog is born, but i did not find a way to create a xmp sidecar with it
Some fields were added, good news, but Is the xmp sidecar writing planned in a future version ?

It use settings>Metadata - update XMP sidecar
