Issues with XnResize

So I'm resizing several photos most of them fall in the multiples of 256x256 and XnResize has no problem with them. However I will randomly get textures with weird resolutions 1980x1114 we are resizing everything by 50% but these ones will always come out in the multiples of 256...
so when I resize this one it should come out 990x570 but it always comes out 1024x1024.
I have tried several settings even to have it come out at a specific pixels but still doesnt work.
File types are .DDS
Any Ideas??
