0.98.0: Cannot exit Animated GIF with ESC key

Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, XnView MP v0.98.0 64-bit
Current behavior:
Viewing any Animated GIF either in Fullscreen or Viewer mode cannot be exited with the ESC key.
How to reproduce:
1. Open any Animated GIF, either from the command-line or browser mode, in Fullscreen or Viewer mode
2. Press the ESC key
3. XnView MP continues to display the Animated GIF despite pressing the ESC key
Expected behavior:
XnView MP should exit the display of any Animated GIF upon pressing the ESC key. This does work in the previous releases of XnView MP, for example in v0.97.1.
