Hello,

Tagging is not working in v0.98, pics are checked but do not appear in "Categories filter".

It's working ok here ...

What type of photos do you want to tag?
Which tag, iptc keywords ? xmp keywords ? xmp sidecar?
Which OS ?
Are you using "categories" panel ? categories sets ? right click ? Categoies button in the toolbar ?
Browser mode ? View mode ? Full screen ?

Can you show a screenshot of Tools, settings, metadata ?

I usually use ctrl+t to send to "categories filters=>special items=>tag" photos that I've in different directories (all .jpg and png) in order to navigate them more comfortably,I do this in browser mode. Now when I check the left up corner of any photo these do not appear in "categories filters=>special items=>tag" like it used to happen in previous version. I've no problem at all in v0.97 or previous.

I'm using XNView MP v0.98 in WIN7 64bits

Sorry, I read "tagging" as "set keywords and categories".

But the word "tag" from Xnview is used to define a tag on a file.
I will test this feature now ...

Tags are always deleted
in categories filter, tagged files is always 0

Thanks to your detailed description I can reproduce the problem.

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 0.98.1. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.

Hi Pierre, maybe it improved but not fixed. We need to use F5 to refresh the browser and see the tags on top of the thumbnails.

There is a number of situation where F5 is required. I thing this is a persistent issue with the database in background. Most of us know this and live with it but it's not the best experience for newcomers.
