Why does XnView MP thumbnails look worse than the XnView Classic thumbnails?

I decided to give it a try again to XnView MP after a few years but I'm disappointed that the thumbnails in the browser (same size 256x256 pixels; high quality thumbnails enabled in MP) look blurry and worse than the XnView Classic thumbnails. Does that happen to anyone else? Is the dev aware of this bug/resize issue?

I disabled the catalog. There are the default settings.

Edit: after enabling the catalog and setting the thumbnail size as 256x256 / JPEG Lossy High Quality they look sharper.

No, it is enabled by default...

If you have same settings in Classic & MP, the thumbnails are the same

I meant those settings (thumbnail size) from that page except Catalog enabling are default. Thanks for help.
