I need these in the Save as dialogue:

1. the option for saving to originating folder, so no need to hunt for it.
2. allow Write compression quality setting, so that it can be adjusted for the work at hand.

(currently compression quality is only found at Viewer mode > File > Format > Write tab)

An issue with all or at least most software, I think...

I would think maybe a button radio in the dialog equivalent to: 'This time only' or 'Until further notice'

Or maybe even better, some way to allow selection of either 'This time only' or 'Until further notice' or even to select a default folder to use unless indicated otherwise. Just initial thoughts, some scope for though...

Is this possibly only a Linux issue?

When I was in Windows recently, I was surprised to see a save options button in the save dialog...

on Linux, i can't add own buttons in 'save as' dialog
