My System: Linux
My XnView MP Version 0.98.4

When I go to ... ... in my linux file manager (thunar) I get this: So you see, there are several files in this folder.

When I open in XnView MP the folder , I get this: So you see: The folder is empty.

My expectation was, that I will also see the same files I can see in thunar.

What do I miss? How can I see this files in XnView MP? Thank you.

You seem to run thunar with root privileges.
You need root privileges to access the files in this folder.

Ah yes I see . Thank you. You are right. When I try the same without root privileges I also can not see these files in thunar.

So: How can I have root privileges in XnView?
