Version 0.99.1 64bit, Win7x64

The command "tag current (cmd_tag)" does not work in Viewer mode:
- keyboard shortcut (default or whatever) doesn't work
- "tag current" button on the toolbar doesn't work.

Addition 1: in Viewer mode, you can undo a tag (using Ctrl+T), if it already existed.
Addition 2: But in Viewer mode, you cannot see if there is a tag or not.

So can you fix this problem or it can't be fixed?

I've had the exact same problem for ages, but also didn't update in a while, as I was lazy...
Anyway, now updated to 0.99.6, problem still persist. I was wondering why such an elementary function hasn't been fixed.
As the OP didn't do it, here's my xnview.ini attached. Please have a look, currently this is my main complaint about XnViewMP.

Why do you use 'base path', you have multiple computers?
And your files are on which drive? I've seen that you use 'Excluded folder'...

What do you mean, "why"? Those are obviously options in the XnViewMP settings, so why shouldn't I use them? I mean, there's no help in the Settings, so when I see "Base Path", I chose the path where my main picture library is. Don't remember when I did that, probably years ago. My hope probably was that XnViewMP would only cache thumbnails for files in that base path - but that's not the case, so I also added Excluded folders.
What is wrong in this understanding?

'base path' is only used when you share the images folder between multiple computers.
The file that you are trying to tag is on which drive?

Ok, so I deleted the Base Path in my settings, and now the "Tag Current" button in the image viewer actually works!
But I still think it's a bug, because the image where I was trying this was actually under this base path.

Also, the Space key as keyboard shortcut doesn't work in View/Fullscreen mode. Instead Space switches to the next image, even though it's definitely assign to "Tag current" in the settings. Must be some overriding default, I changed the shortcut to Ctrl-T, that works. So I will be able to find a consistent setup, but perhaps you should prevent users from assigning Space as key in Viewer Mode.

Anyway, the Base Path thing was the solution. Thanx!

I think that the problem is not with 'base path' (i can't reproduce) but the excluded folder. The path of file that you try to tag is in excluded folder?

Nope, definitely not. I mainly excluded some network paths, and A/B/C. And as I said, after removing the Base Path, it works...
