I have another great idea .

Instead of printing text into the image, XNConvert could create a QR Code. As you may know, it can hold Text, Contacts, Mail Addresses, WWW URLs...
As with text, the user could decide about position, size and colors. It's up to the user if colors and size work (i.e. if the code can still be scanned).

(My) use case:

I display 4K images of my hiking trips/ holiday on a big television. The viewer may want to know where the photo was taken. So I currently show the latitude, longitude position as very small text in the bottom left corner. But it still has to be written down, typed into smartphone... A PlusCode would be great (easier to enter, doesn't do much harm to the picture) or a QR Code (easiest to handle, but a bit uglier). The QR Code could hold a Google Maps URL, so on user side I'd like to tell XNConvert to create a WWW URL QR code with: https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api ... :Longitude}

Thx for consideration. I guess the necessary QR Encode libraries are openly available.

Perhaps in 1/2 weeks

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 0.99.4. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.

I am very grateful it is now in XNView batchconverter already, will test it thoroughly. THANKS SO MUCH

Hey there, I'm new to this forum, and I came across your suggestion about creating a QR Code with XNConvert. That sounds like a great idea! QR codes can hold so much information, and they are becoming increasingly popular. It would be really helpful to have a QR code generator built right into XNConvert. I especially like your use case for displaying photos on a big TV with a QR code that leads to the location on Google Maps.
