Could image colour depth please be added to Edit > Properties...

And maybe also include the number of colours Image > Count colors used at the same time?


[Not sure why Properties is in the Edit menu when the properties can't be changed there, wouldn't View > Properties have been a more natural location?]

I rarely check the 'number of colours' in an image, but it seems sensible to include all image information in one place, rather than have to first think where to look, and then make two clicks.

You have '# of bits'?

And maybe also include the number of colours Image > Count colors used at the same time?

This can take some time to compute it...

It was like that in Classic but right perhaps File>Properties is better??

If Edit > Change color depth is used to set a 24-bit image to, for example, 64 colours then '# of bits' remains at 24 bits, I believe. I suggest 'Colour depth' '64' be added to the parameters listed...

No, when I open Image > Change color depth... after previously reducing the colour depth, to say 64 colours, the reopened menu shows the current colour depth (64). I am requesting, and I understood XnTriq to support, that value be added to the Properties parameters displayed (by, for me, clicking on the toolbar 'i' icon).

And...

In a quote that doesn't display correctly, you suggest that Properties be moved from the Edit menu (where the image properties can not be edited) to the File menu; that would probably be an improvement, but I suggest that the Image menu, where Count colors used is already located, might be more logical.
