OS: Windows
There are several typographical mistakes in the "Settings → File list → Customer filter" section of XnViewMP. I will list them below, along with their correct form.
Effect: Typographical mistakes reduce an app's prestige, but have no functional impact.
To reproduce:
- Install XnViewMP 0.99.1 and start it.
- From the Tools menu, select "Settings..." (or just press F12.)
- On the left-hand side, select the "File list" item.
- On the right-hand side, ensure that the "Custom filter" tab is selected.
- On the first column, the third item from the bottom reads, "All others files." It must be "all other files." ("Other" is an adjective.)
- In the Extensions column, the "Video" row:
- M4A and MPA are mistakenly listed as videos.
These are audio files and belong to the "Audio" row. (Additional suggestion: Please add M4B to the audio row too.) - 3GP, 3GP2, and 3G2 are mistakenly listed under the QuickTime section. In reality, they are derived from MPEG-4 Part 12.
For more information, see "3GP and 3G2" on English Wikipedia. - VOB is mistakenly listed under "AVI". It is an MPEG format.
For more information, see "VOB" on English Wikipedia. - WMV and ASF are mistakenly listed under AVI.
AVI was a 1st-generation Microsoft format. WMV and ASF are 2nd-generation Microsoft formats. I suggest renaming the "AVI" label to "Microsoft."
- M4A and MPA are mistakenly listed as videos.
