{File index} is not displayed in the "View" mode on the Title bar:

Also, in the "Browser" mode, in addition to {File index}, {Width}x{Height} is not displayed on the Title bar:

Thanks to your detailed description I can reproduce the problem.

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 0.99.7. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.
