XnView stops responding when viewing a folder that contains images

XnView MP Windows
Version 0.99.4 64-bit, 0.99.5 64-bit
OS: Windows 11 version 22000.348
Some more details on what's happening—
The program always freezes ("XnView MP is not responding") if I
The only time I never get a freeze is if I start in or navigate to a OneDrive folder containing one or more images on my hard drive (folders with only images in the cloud still freeze). Whenever it doesn't freeze, I can browse folders and images like normal until I exit the program. The only other thing I've noticed is that when the program freezes upon switching folders, the next time I open the browser it starts in the previous folder before the freeze (startup directory set to last).
I've tried deleting XnView's local files (ini/db), turning on/off all thumbnail-related settings, uninstalling and reinstalling, updating to 0.99.5, running in compatibility mode, clearing Windows' thumbnail cache, chkdsk in case of corrupted files, rebooting Windows, and praying to Bill Gates, all to no effect.
Everything worked fine until this started happening a week or so ago. I can't remember doing anything that might have caused such a problem, though with the occasional tinkering I do with Windows I wouldn't put it past something I've done. If anyone can offer suggestions on how to fix this, or how it might have been caused, I would be greatly appreciative.
