XnViewMP 0.99.6 - Thumbnail window - very high memory usage for JXL files

I used XnviewMP 0.99.6 64bit under Windows 10 (64bit) to scan a directory with JPEG XL (JXL) files with the thumbnail window.
There are around 2.000 files within the directory and all pictures are very small (max size: 1920x1080 pixels).
The scanning process works fine, but the RAM usage is very high. I think XnViewMP read the files, but did not unload or free up the used memory.
