Hello there.

Again, I need some help

When I want to join images in a Collage, the final JPG is not the right color profile. I have ICC file installed and everything else is working OK (resizing, batch... etc..) but this feature somehow is not working. The image that is saved is not with the right color profile.

Am I missing something?

With those I worked for collage, they are without Exif since exif data is erased.


Hmm, is maybe the General section on ICC tab, where is the second option, the one I should change?
"RGB profile used when embedded profile doesn't exists"

Here I have "sRGB" option ticked. Should I go with the third one, where ICC profile is used?

I changed the setting of RGB profile, when embedded profile does not exists, to third option:



Now, Collage works well. So this is OK.

But now new question appear: although image looks OK in XnView, when I open this file in Photoshop, colors are off. So... I guess it is not a good option to use ICC profile with files without color profiles

I use Photoshop with sRGB and all images, even those without profile, open with correct colors. The same is in Lightroom.

Maybe is some setting wrong, while I convert/batch images... but I do not dare to change anything. Since for other work, everything works fine. I would loose all my hair, If I change something and than everything else won't work. I can live without "Join images" if it is too much hassle to figure it out

Thanks to your detailed description I can reproduce the problem.

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 0.99.7. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.

I can confirm, that this now works.


One thing is still issue: when Create - Join image creates collage and BEFORE it is saved, that preview is not using color profile.
But when it is saved, everything is OK. Not that it is a big deal, but It would be nice to see correct colors before it is saved. It just looks nicer.
