Move Selection with ctrl + arrow keys

In mouse settings I've set 'Make a selection' to left click + ctrl. 'Move image' set to left click only. I can only move the selection if I press ctrl. That is the behaviour I like, all fine. But I also want to move the selection with the arrow keys. This would be intuitive and more exact. But the only function the arrow keys can have is scrolling or switching the image. Really annoying.
I would like to have an additional option with ctrl key for moving the selection (pixel steps) and a combination with shift to move bigger steps (configurable step number, default 10). Sure you can use the arrow keys if you select the x or y edit fields in the crop mode. But better would be to overwrite the arrow key assignment with the ctrl key (and maybe shift key). Please, implement this feature. One of the last things I'm still missing in comparison to FastStone ImageViewer.
