Status Bar improvements

Please Pierre, could you make the following improvements to the Status Bar? These would make it more attractive, and easier to read...
How all these changes would look:
Details of the changes:
1. Make Status Bar taller, with a bigger font (or add a setting for custom size)
2. Allow custom spacing/padding (in pixels) either side of each property
3. For the Filename property, allow a custom width (longer filenames are truncated)
How these settings could look:
4. Change wording of 10 objects(s)/1 objects(s) selected to 10 total / 1 selected
5. Add a Setting: Display "objects(s)/objects(s) selected" on right of statusbar
6. Do not show Print size by default - few people need it!
7. Change "Properties" to "Dimensions" and ONLY show image dimensions (not number of colours)
8. For dimensions, use a multiplication symbol with spaces either side (eg 1000x1000 becomes 1000 × 1000)
