Favorites view not showing as folder tree

Hi, I'm using XnView MP MacOSX Version 0.99.7 64bits (Jan 13 2022). In my "favorites" panel it only shows the root folder of what I added as a favorite. I cannot expand that folder. I would prefer if it showed it as collapsible folders like the "folders" view so I can traverse the folder structure the same way. Is there a switch somewhere that enables a view like that for the "favorites" view?

Thank you for registering here and your request, somedude. Currently, the "Favorites" panel is used for displaying and managing favorites (i.e. bookmarks). Your request makes much sense and would enhance functionality of the "Favorites" quite a bit and would make the handling pretty intuitive and consistent to the normal folder panel. Unfortunately this is not supported in XnView MP.

ATM, I see the following two workarounds, only:
• Workaround 1:
Use small arrow left of the favorites symbol (star) to select a specific favorite. --> Appropriate folder will be selected in "Folder" panel and you can navigate from here on.

• Workaround 2:
In "Favorites" panel select a favorite and then switch to the "Folder" panel. --> Appropriate folder is selected in "Folder" panel and you can navigate from here to anywhere.

Both the workaround and the ini change worked. Thanks so much for the answers from both of you! This is a huge time saver!

That works too! I wish he would make it the default to show subdirectories in the Favorites
What I long for is the ACDSEE Favorites which let you drag and drop to a favorites folder. I haven't used ACDSEE for a while but I think adding a favorite added a symlink somewhere
