Rename folders upper case and lower case - Problem

Good evening, after having cataloged thousands of photos residing in an external hd, I decided to rename the folder written
in lowercase "mobile photo" in UPPER CASE "MOBILE PHOTO".
I immediately noticed that when I search for some images, I am shown twice the same thumbnail with exactly this path:
E: \ GABRIELLA GAZZOLA ARCHIVE \ WORKING \ mobile photo \
E: \ GABRIELLA GAZZOLA ARCHIVE \ WORKING \ MOBILE PHOTO \
in both thumbnails the metadata such as size, occupied space, millions of colors, etc. are correctly reported.
So I thought it was enough to exit the program, turn off the PC and the external HDD. I have restarted everything, but this problem still remains.
There really ARE NOT 2 files, it is only one, but visible in two different folders (even here it is only ONE folder renamed as explained above). In order not to throw away dozens of hours of work, how should I proceed so that ONLY the folder with the UPPER CASE name MOBILE PHOTO remains visible in the various searches?
Thank you for your reply. Greetings
